The Commission has approved 12 months’ non-cost extension for SHARP JA

The non-cost extension of the Joint Action by 12 months was requested on basis of delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

SHARP JA was fully active only for approximately eight months before the pandemic began. Starting February 2020, there has been a significant decrease and delays in all activities, as almost all partners have been involved in their national Covid-19 responses.

The extension means that the closing date of SHARP will be 31 March 2023.

“As the pandemic still continues, and we have a vast amount of SHARP tasks yet to be implemented, we are very happy about the Commission giving us more time to do our work,” says Anna Katz, Project Manager at Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) which coordinates SHARP JA.
